Why this house exists
Serenity was started by a family who had already been through this from the other side — touring buildings, reading contracts written to be hard to read, and watching a parent become quieter in a place where nobody knew her name.
The conclusion was simple. Care quality is mostly a function of how many people one caregiver is responsible for. Everything else — the chandelier in the lobby, the bistro, the glossy brochure — is marketing that residents never touch. So we built the smallest thing that works: one house, a small group of residents, staff who stay.
What we hold ourselves to
Small on purpose
Staying small is a business decision that costs us money and buys her attention. We are not planning a second building.
Staff who stay
We pay above the local average and schedule consistently, because caregiver turnover is the thing that most damages residents.
Straight answers
Including the ones that lose us a resident. If we are not the right fit, we say so on the first call.
Doors open
Come by unannounced in daylight hours. A home that needs notice before you visit is telling you something.
Licensing and compliance
Serenity is a licensed assisted living home in the state of Texas, RN-owned and supervised. The licence sets out exactly which levels of care we may provide, and we are happy to walk you through what that means for your mother specifically.
We are inspected by the state, and our licence and most recent survey results are available to any family who asks. Ask on the tour. It is a fair question and we would rather you asked it of every home you visit.
A note on this website
Licensing details, capacity, pricing and contact information on this site are pending final confirmation from the owners. Anything you read here should be verified on your visit.
